I'm looking for online games such as fun or learning. I also am looking for accessible sites to play with people for free. Muds, puzzles and more.

for muds, go to mudconector.com. depends what kind of thing you want but if you want a great roleplaying mud i'd try newworlds. check it out at newworlds-rpg.com
lots of turn based rpgs have a combat element to them but i prefer realtime.

Go to wikkipedia and search it, or google. Randylaptop.com did have a page on what they were, but he took it down when he redid his site.

alter eon is pretty good too, lots of interaction in that if you want that kind of thing, but you can also strike out on your own if you want too

also warring factions is good http://www.war-facts.com. been playing it on and off since 2004 it's free as well although premium is good and worth it. i'd say give it a look.

Rat, nothing ever happens in Alter. No one seems to talk ever.

a mud is a multi-user dungeon. That basically means that at their core, most muds are dungeons and dragons on crack. The best out there is definitely Avalon, at avalon-rpg.com, the only drawback is it's pay to play. A free, though less awesome game is Achaea, at Achaea.com

you could also try lusternia at lusternia.com

How about Alterego or however that's spelled? It's not really played in real time, but it's about going through life and making decisions. Mind you, it's just a single player thing so you can't play it with other people.

I just thought of something, can you see at all? You could try WOW or some other graphical games if ya like.

hmm, on this topic, I'm looking for games to play, muds or the like.
However, I want something different, no alter eon, no miriani, nothing like that.

i play new worlds now and i love it

Post 22 by CrystalSapphire (Uzuri uongo ndani) on Wednesday, 28-Oct-2009 9:30:29

new worlds is a great mud

Post 23 by alison (my ISP would be out of business if it wasn't for this haven I live at) on Saturday, 14-Nov-2009 13:42:09

I like New Worlds. Big on character interaction.

Also, if you're really looking for something different, check out God Wars II (I think the url is www.godwars2.org, but I think if you google Godwars II you'll find it). Its learning curve is a bit steep, but I've never seen another mud quite like it before.

The drawback is that there isn't a whole lot of character interaction--not that I've seen, anyway. Of course, I haven't quite managed to progress my character past being an avatar, so ...

i love new worlds i'm sureenla on there or meyiaina

Post 25 by lights_rage (I just keep on posting!) on Monday, 11-Jan-2010 19:23:06

aardwolf at aardmud.org 4000 is cool I am lookin for more muds that are different, i cant stand iron realms because you cant go through a lot of the tutorials and its difficult to turn off the bs ascii art. I am going to go to topmudsites.com and mudconnect.com here in a bit. I like muds over stuff i need to download, or stuff played in a browser i just dont like that kind of thing anymore muds are far less complicated and i aint gotta wait on a page to take sixteen years to load.

Post 26 by the illusive man (my ISP would be out of business if it wasn't for this haven I live at) on Monday, 11-Jan-2010 21:55:31

yeah, and creating a character on godwars2 is a bitch!
As for aardwolf, love that game! Iron realms is also a great game

Post 27 by _rory_ (predictable kryptic) on Tuesday, 12-Jan-2010 4:13:33

How do you get that alterego thing? And is it a mud?

Post 28 by Blind Bigfoot (Zone BBS Addict) on Tuesday, 12-Jan-2010 10:46:29

Must have a slow connection if a page takes 16 years. Dial up?

Post 29 by Starcannon20 (the Zone BBS remains forever my home page) on Friday, 15-Jan-2010 21:17:56

I mean, noone has said anything about other games other than those muds...I do not want to play them, I would like to play something else...any suggestions?
